Champions League

You probably all saw liverpool scrape through on the dubious aways goal rule last night. Hats off to them for making the competition easier to win for everyone else in it.

You may not, however, have seen the highlights of the Valencia-Inter game. The final score was 0-0, with valencia going through on away goals. It sparked some crazy scenes at the end of the match with a Brazilian style fight on the middle of the pitch.

how did liverpool scrape through? outplayed the best team in the world within 2 weeks, dominated infact

scarped through in the sense that you are only through to the next round because of a dodgy rule, involving 'who scored more goals away'. Personally, i think the rule should be changed so it only comes into play if both teams scored on both grounds. Liverpool's inability to score at home, should be more damning than barcelona not scoring 'as many goals' away.
Scarped through.

well still not scraped but i see your point. the fact that we had 14-3 shots on goal, means we played better than them, even if we cant score. not really an inability because on another day we would have won 5-0. hit the bar twice, had it touched another time and one cleared off the line.

lucky draw for you guys, no chelsea or liverpool to play
